A thousand feet above the confluence of two great rivers. Mesa Arch at first light, Grand View Point, Upheaval Dome. Being a little further, we need a bit more time to appreciate Canyonlands. To see a bit more, plus a picnic and a visit to Dead Horse Point, make it a full day! It will be great either way. If unsure, go with the full day. Features arches, river views, dirt road travel en route with remote vistas, and Native American rock art. (more)
A slot canyon in miniature with cottonwood groves, running stream, and waterfalls cut into red rock. (more)
The best of both worlds in a single full day. Arches National Park in the morning, a picnic lunch in transition, then rock art, dino tracks, 4x4 roads, and Dead Horse Point in the afternoon. (more)

A remote district of Canyonlands with sandstone spires in impossible candy stripes. Long drive, longer day, worth every mile. (more)
Backcountry on the far side of the rivers where fewer than a thousand people reach in a year. Petroglyphs, stone walls, and nothing but wind. (more)
On full-moon weeks, the desert lights itself. Walk a familiar trail by moonlight—cooler, quieter, and transformed beyond recognition. (more)
We are not astronomers, do not use a telescope, and are not astrophotographers. Rather, it is to experience night in the desert for a memorable, novel adventure. We can give recommendations for astronomy and astrophotography services and may be able to arrange them on request. Please email us.
Surprise proposals. Birthday sunrises on top of a mesa. A vegan gluten-free picnic at a secret arch. Private stargazing with a telescope and a toddler asleep in the back seat.
If you can dream it, ask — we've probably already done something weirder.

Full description here.
Arches National Park contains over 2,000 natural stone arches, along with hundreds of soaring pinnacles, massive rock fins, and balanced rocks. Located just five miles north of Moab, it's one of the most visually striking landscapes in the American Southwest.
The park's signature formations — including Delicate Arch, Landscape Arch, the Windows Section, Balanced Rock, and the Fiery Furnace — were shaped over 300 million years by water, ice, and erosion working on layers of Entrada Sandstone. The result is a dense concentration of arches and fins unlike anywhere else on Earth.
Most visitors experience Arches by driving the 18-mile scenic road with stops along the way. Our tours go deeper — accessing viewpoints, timing, and context that transform a scenic drive into something that stays with you. We know when the light hits each formation perfectly, where the crowds aren't, and which short detours reveal the park's best-kept secrets.
While we sometimes go to the long distance viewpoint of Delicate Arch (short stop), we only hike there:
A) At sunrise — Pickup 30–60 mins before that.
B) At night — Wild card option — see the "Nighthike" tour in the tour browser!
This is based on the trail being very busy all day every day — congested trail and weird long lines for the arch picture — plus being uphill and hot after the morning. Guest feedback confirms early and night is the amazing way to go!
We say this because we care about your experience and expectations, and understand you may prefer to go there on your own during the day. If it is helpful to know, we will see many amazing arches on tour, some with a good chance to get them to ourselves!
Exception: Nov–Dec you can mention it to your guide on any Arches tour and you can totally hike to Delicate Arch at any time. The cooler weather and smaller crowds make it enjoyable all day.

You will gain a great overall appreciation of the park from the classic highlights along with a bonus gem or two that are more seldom seen. Expect a handful of diverse short stops, with 2–3 being more focused brief excursions in a particularly special area. It is a well loved approach and perfect for most!
Choose from sunrise or night hike times above (night hikes only show available when there is good moonlight during tour). The sunrise approach means an early pickup — 30 to 60 minutes before dawn — to hike the 1.5-mile trail as the sky brightens. You'll reach the arch with few others around and watch the sandstone glow in the first light. The night option under moonlight is a completely different, magical experience — cool air, silver light on stone, and near-total solitude.
7+ mile primitive loop with abundant solitude, rock fins, canyon twists and turns, plus multiple nice arches, with 300' Landscape Arch as the highlight. Uneven terrain, some bonus park highlights depending on pace.
Slightly abbreviated Highlights Tour + Dino Tracks & Bones or Native American Rock Art after Arches. Your guide will take you to the best places based on your time together.
Two to three 1–3 mile hikes WITH Arches' highlights. For guests who want to stretch their legs and get deeper into the landscape without committing to a full day. Moderate fitness recommended.
The 6 hr approach PLUS Dino Tracks/Bones and/or Native American Rock Art after Arches. Your guide will carry out the best day based on time together. Includes a picnic lunch in a scenic transition spot between locations.
Abbreviated Arches highlights followed by Dead Horse Point State Park — a short walk to one of the most photographed overlooks in the American West. A two-park sampler that keeps the day at 6 hours. Dead Horse Point is very representative of Canyonlands' geology but closer and easier to appreciate fully.
Both national parks in one day. Abbreviated Arches highlights in the morning, then a scenic drive to Canyonlands Island in the Sky for Mesa Arch, Grand Viewpoint, and roadside photo stops. More scenic driving, less hiking — for those who must check off both parks or prefer a photo-focused day.
Less than 1% of people would love this over all other options. Choose this IF you have A LOT of energy and hike very well, and want to do BOTH the best highlights and gems of the 4 hr approach and 1 to 3 additional hikes. Consider the weather at the time of visit — summer full days in the park are intense.
Our suggested times are tuned for the best light, temperature, and solitude — but you're welcome to choose your own. We'll let you know within 24 hours if there's any issue.

Classic highlights plus a bonus gem or two. A handful of diverse short stops, with 2–3 being more focused brief excursions in a particularly special area. Well loved and perfect for most visitors — you will gain a great overall appreciation of the park. Best for 90% of visitors.
Sunrise or night hike to Delicate Arch. Early pickup before dawn, or magical moonlit night option. Near-total solitude. This is a dedicated hike — not a drive-through. Guest feedback strongly positive but the early start isn't for everyone. November–December exception: available as a daytime option when temperatures allow.
7+ mile primitive loop through rock fins, canyon twists, and multiple arches. Landscape Arch is a highlight. Uneven terrain throughout — moderate fitness required. This is the hiker's choice for Arches.
Abbreviated Arches highlights plus Dino Tracks & Bones or Native American Rock Art after leaving the park. Two experiences in one outing — great if you want variety beyond Arches alone.
Two to three 1–3 mile hikes WITH highlights. Stretch your legs deeper into the landscape while still hitting the major spots. Moderate fitness recommended.
Abbreviated Arches highlights followed by Dead Horse Point State Park — a short walk to one of the most photographed overlooks in the American West. Dead Horse Point is adjacent to Canyonlands Island in the Sky and very representative of the same geology, but closer and easier to appreciate fully. A two-park sampler without a full-day commitment.
The 6-hour approach PLUS Dino Tracks/Rock Art after Arches. Includes a picnic lunch in a scenic transition spot. The most complete single-day Moab experience combining the park with local gems.
Both national parks in one day. Abbreviated Arches highlights in the morning, then a scenic drive to Canyonlands Island in the Sky for Mesa Arch, Grand Viewpoint, Upheaval Dome, and roadside photo stops. Much more on the scenic driving side — less hiking. For those okay with less physical activity, photo focused, or who simply must check off both parks. Note: Canyonlands is a good bit of a drive for a relatively short experience. If that's a concern, the Dead Horse 6hr option is closer and very representative of the same geology.
Maximum Arches — highlights, gems, AND 1–3 additional hikes. High energy required. A rare pick for guests who want to cover as much of the park as physically possible in one day.
